Fearless Photographer: Travel
Marc Pagani was contacted by an editor at Cengage Learning in early 2011 and was asked to write a how-to book about travel photography. The writing began in late 2011, after Marc and his climbing partner narrowly escaped a series of avalanches in Nepal and endured a 5.9 earthquake a few days later. The book was released in November, 2012. It is chock full of info on travel photography and includes tons of stories and photos from his travels. It's available on Amazon. This book is a printed collection of travel photography made across six continents — markets before sunrise, portraits made through a translator, long waits for weather, and the frames that survived the edit.
The book is part gallery, part field manual: alongside the photographs are the practical notes on how the images were made — light, access, gear that actually travels, and the patience it takes to let a moment come together.
