Editorial sports photography tells a story about the athlete, the location, the light that day, the competition, and the desire to excel. This is where the campaign has to look effortless while everyone on set is roped in, soaked in rain, or miles from the trailhead. Marc Pagani has spent decades photographing climbing, mountaineering, cycling, triathlon, skiing, and outdoor lifestyle work, which means the crew moves fast, packs light, and still comes home with images that hold up as brand or editorial photography.
Shoots are built around light and conditions rather than a studio call sheet: pre-scouted locations, a shot order that follows the weather, and the ability to shoot handheld on the wall, in the water, or on the move without slowing the athletes down. Safety and logistics are planned first so the photography can stay opportunistic.
Typical scope for adventure and lifestyle photography: apparel and gear campaigns, athlete and guide portraits, editorial features, tourism and destination libraries, and behind-the-scenes documentary coverage. Everything is delivered color-corrected and retouched, with licensing written for the way the images will actually run.
